Bay Gates Project

The Boynton Beach Art District celebrated its fifth anniversary with repainting the Bay Gates murals, themed “shade of culture” 11 gates with portraits of artists wearing shades. The my mural concept was selected by Rolando Chang Barrero.

I graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago  where Georgia O’keeffe  attended. The architecture in Chicago exposed O’Keeffe to her aesthetic choices seen in her architectural styles. I feel a strong connection between her feminism and her connection to architecture which pulls me to draw O’Keeffe and represent her as one the most important figures in Art.
