INTERVIEWS

This video installation, titled Interviews, was part of a group exhibition of SAIC artists called Dropped Frames.

I interviewed a diverse selection of social workers in Chicago, and discovered that they all had one thing in common – they wanted to be heard. I developed a video and space installation featuring a collection of narratives that visualized the issues they faced and the impact they had on their communities. I adapted the topics that they revealed to me during the on-camera interviews the space by painting highlights of what they told me on the walls of the gallery.
