VIDA

Holding space for joy, grief and transformation.
Visual music & cutouts made from colorful hand paintings.

The moving images from “Vida” depict the relationships between earth, water, flora, and fauna in celebration of our living planet. This stop-motion animation was made from a series of paintings that were cut and assembled in order to create organic shapes that represent the fragile nature of the cycle of life.

The animation Vida screened at Untitled, the ALC video Art Festival in Alicante, Spain (2022), at Supernova Digital Animation Festival in Denver in an environmental themed program (Buell Theatre, Sie FilmCenter), and Glowland Festival (Frick Fine Art, Pittsburgh).  And (2024) Chroma Art Film Festival in Miami at SuperBlue.
